Why the Alpha Edition
First edition, printed once
Myths and Legends is the first set: 218 characters. Its Alpha Edition is sold only on this Kickstarter, and every card shows the Alpha tag. Characters can return in later sets, never as Alpha.
Sealed, like a physical TCG
Collector packs of 5 cards, booster boxes of 24 packs, cases of 6 boxes. Boxes and cases are preorder only: once the print run is done, there are no more.
Yours, on Steam
Packs, boxes and cards are Steam inventory items. Open them, keep them sealed or trade them with other players on Steam.
Nothing hidden
Koin publishes the pull rate of every card in every set, forever, and pop reports with how many copies of each card, pack, box and case exist.
Error cards, God packs, grades
Koin's campaign page promises “error cards, god packs, & digitally graded cards you really own”. Grades go from 1 to 10 with half grades; in October Koin said the system was still being refined.

The game in short
Origins TCG is a free competitive card game on Steam by Koin Games. It is free-to-compete: every gameplay card is free for every player, every season, and nothing you buy makes a deck stronger. The Kickstarter is about collecting.
Before Early Access, the free demo on Steam was rated Very Positive: 92% of 263 reviews (read on October 26, 2026).
How backing on Kickstarter works
Pick a reward tier
On the campaign page Koin lists the tiers and what each one includes.
You only pay if it's funded
Kickstarter is all-or-nothing: your card is charged when the campaign ends, and only if it reaches its goal.
You can change your mind
While the campaign is open you can usually change or cancel your pledge, following Kickstarter's rules.
A pledge backs a project: rewards and delivery depend on the campaign, so read its page before you pledge.

Questions before you back it
When did the Kickstarter open?
It opened on 27 October 2026: Koin Games announced it on Steam the same day (“The Origins Kickstarter is LIVE”).
How much do the reward tiers cost?
From $24 to $9,999: every tier and what it includes are in the section above.
Do I need the Kickstarter to play?
No. Gameplay cards are free, ranked play needs no purchase and the game on Steam is free-to-play.
Where do my packs and cards go?
To your Steam inventory, as items you can open, keep sealed or trade on Steam, according to Koin's official page.
I pre-registered as a VIP: which link should I use?
