Dates and times of the qualifiers
The Crimson Cup, Koin Games' tournament for Steam Next Fest, starts tonight. There are five qualifiers, each with 512 spots, open to everyone wherever they live, and 32 players advance from each one:
| Day | Official time | Region |
|---|---|---|
| Monday 19 October | 7pm EST | AMER (added on 5 October) |
| Tuesday 20 October | 7pm CEST | EMEA |
| Wednesday 21 October | 9pm EST | AMER |
| Thursday 22 October | 7pm SGT | APAC |
| Thursday 22 October | 7pm CEST | EMEA (added on 5 October, closes the qualifiers) |
The 160 qualified players are joined by 96 wild cards: 256 players in the playoffs on Saturday 24 October at 10am EST (4pm CEST, 10pm SGT), and four of them reach the finals on Sunday 25 October at 10am EST. Times are those of Koin's official graphic, without conversions of ours. The prize pool, with the 1/1 Dracula promo card, is in our article on prizes and qualifiers.
Check-in, sign-up and format
- Sign-up is on the official Discord. You can enter more than one qualifier, but Koin asks you to sign up only for the ones you can actually attend.
- Check-in opens two hours before each qualifier and closes five minutes before the start, together with deck submission: miss it and you don't play (the rules).
- Format: three-deck Conquest, best-of-three matches, decklists hidden until the top 4 (in the ban you only see the Legendary), best-of-five grand final. Seven locations are out of the pool: the list is in the prize pool article.
- Page 8 of the rulebook covers tech issues and deck tracking: read it before your first match (what changed on 14 October).
If you are still choosing your three decks, start from the tournament decks and the deck builder, which checks the Conquest rule for you.
Where to watch the matches
- Koin's official Twitch channel, twitch.tv/originstcg: Koin announced on 14 October that it will broadcast every Crimson Cup event there.
- The OriginsMeta home page: while the official channel is live on Origins TCG, the official stream takes the place of our slider, and the slider comes back when the stream ends.
- The creators' co-streams: Koin lets anyone co-stream the Crimson Cup or stream their own matches. On our Live page you find the creators who are live on Origins TCG right now, with their player.
Broadcasting OM: our overlay for streaming a match
If you are going to co-stream the Crimson Cup, or cast a tournament of your own, OriginsMeta gives you a free graphic overlay to put over the game: Broadcasting OM. It is made of two pages:
- the control panel, originsmeta.com/broadcast, where you fill in the match;
- the overlay, originsmeta.com/broadcast/live, with a transparent background, made for an OBS browser source at 1920 × 1080.
What it shows on stream:
- the two players' name plates, with Deck 1, 2 and 3 and a dot on the deck in play;
- the series score, with the tournament name, the phase (qualifier, playoffs, finals) and the format (Bo1, Bo3, Bo5);
- the decklists, on the left, on the right or hidden, with the copies left of each card: in the control panel a click on a card marks one copy as played, and "Next game" puts them all back;
- the full card on hover, with cost, power, health, type and text in the overlay language (English, Italian, Spanish or French), and a Copy deck button with the game code;
- an optional sponsor slot, which takes turns with the score (20 seconds of score and 7 of sponsor by default, both adjustable), with up to three logos or banners to upload;
- the line "not affiliated with Koin Games", always on screen.
The match can be filled in four ways: with the tag of a tournament on the OriginsMeta tournament organizer (OM-XXXX), with the link of a tournament deck published on the site, by pasting the game's deck code, or by hand. "Demo match" loads an example to try it out.
One Crimson Cup rule to respect: decklists are hidden until the top 4. Until then keep the lists hidden and use only name plates and score; from the top 4 onward you can show them.
How to set it up in OBS
- Open originsmeta.com/broadcast as a dock in OBS: Docks → Custom Browser Docks, paste the address.
- Add the overlay as a source: Sources → + → Browser, address originsmeta.com/broadcast/live, width 1920, height 1080, above the game capture.
- Fill in the match in the dock: the overlay updates on the fly, because both live in the same OBS.
If the overlay runs elsewhere (another PC, a co-caster), copy the overlay address from the control panel: it carries the state of that moment, so copy it again after every change. For the decks in your own matches there are also the !deck chat command and the deck overlay, explained in our streaming guide.
Still in testing: what is missing
Broadcasting OM is a first version, out in time for the Crimson Cup. Nothing is saved on our servers: the state, sponsor images included, lives in your browser. Viewers on Twitch can't click on the overlay yet (that needs a Twitch extension, which will come later), and score and copies are updated by hand from the control panel. If you use it during the qualifiers, tell us what is missing on our Discord.
Where this comes from
- Koin Games' Steam post of 5 October 2026, "Prizepool announcement & key update to our biggest tournament ever", and its official calendar graphic.
- The rules announced on the official Discord on 24 September and the Twitch announcement of 14 October 2026.
- Broadcasting OM is a tool of OriginsMeta, not of Koin Games.
