What you get
OriginsMeta has free tools for anyone who streams or makes videos about Origins TCG. They work with the decks you publish on the site, and there is nothing to install:
- an OBS overlay with your deck list on a transparent background;
- a !deck command for your Twitch chat that answers with your deck;
- a short link and a deck image for descriptions, thumbnails and stories;
- a LIVE badge next to your name while you stream Origins TCG.
Before you start
- Sign in to OriginsMeta (Discord or email, no password) and publish a deck from the deck builder.
- Open your account: the "Stream tools" panel has the overlay links and the chat command, already filled in with your username.
The links in your account always follow the deck you published most recently: publish a new one and the overlay and the command switch to it within a minute. To show one deck in particular, open its page and use the "For streamers" menu: on your own decks it has the overlay and the command for that deck only.
OBS overlay
- Copy one of the two overlay links from your account: vertical or horizontal.
- In OBS: Sources → + → Browser, then paste the link.
- Set the size: 360 × 1000 for the vertical overlay, 1600 × 300 for the horizontal one.
The background is transparent and the overlay reloads the deck every minute, so it stays up to date without touching the source. It shows the deck name, your name, the Legendary and the twelve cards with their cost. The language is the one of the page you copied it from: to change it, set lang= at the end of the link to en, it or es.
The !deck chat command
Your account has the line to use for each bot, with your link already inside:
- Nightbot and StreamElements: type the line in your Twitch chat as the channel owner or a moderator;
- Fossabot: create a command in its dashboard and use the line as the response.
If !deck already exists on your channel, write edit instead of add. From then on !deck answers in chat with one line: the deck name, the Legendary, the short link and the game code to paste into Origins TCG. The code is left out only when a card of the deck has no official ID yet.
Short link and deck image
Every deck has a short link, originsmeta.com/d/ followed by the deck's address: say it on stream or put it in the video description, and it opens the deck in the viewer's language. Your profile has one too, originsmeta.com/@ followed by your username.
From the "For streamers" menu of any deck you can also download a PNG image with the Legendary, the twelve cards with their cost and the short link: 16:9 (1280 × 720) for thumbnails, 9:16 (1080 × 1920) for stories and shorts.
LIVE badge
Creators, Authors, Pro players and Staff who add their Twitch channel to their public profile get a LIVE badge next to their name on the site while they stream Origins TCG: the game's category on Twitch, or a title that names the game. Their streams also appear on the live page and in the creators directory. Roles are assigned by the OriginsMeta staff: if you stream Origins TCG regularly, write to us on Discord.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. The overlay is a web page that you add to OBS as a browser source, and the chat command is a line for your Twitch bot that points to OriginsMeta.
- Which bots does the !deck command work with?
- Nightbot, StreamElements and Fossabot. Your OriginsMeta account gives you the ready line for each one, with your link already inside.
- What size should the overlay be in OBS?
- 360 × 1000 pixels for the vertical overlay and 1600 × 300 for the horizontal one. The background is transparent.
- Does the overlay change when I publish a new deck?
- Yes, if you use the link from your account: it always shows the deck you published most recently and reloads it every minute.
