Upgrade Meta: tournament decks, three Conquest decks published together with one guide

The Decks section now has two parts: single decks and tournament decks. A tournament deck is a set of three Conquest decks published together with one guide that explains how they work as a team, and the site checks the Crimson Cup rules for you before you publish.

Tournament decks

In a Conquest tournament like the Crimson Cup you don't bring one deck, you bring three. Until now OriginsMeta only had single decks, so a set of three had to be published as three separate pages, each with its own guide. Now the Decks menu has two parts: Single decks and Tournament decks.

A tournament deck is three decks published together, with one guide for the whole set: the game plan for the three decks and the role of each one (when you pick it, which matchups it covers), plus strengths, weaknesses, matchups and notes if you want to add them.

How to publish a tournament deck

  1. Open the deck builder and switch to Tournament (3 decks). The "Publish a tournament deck" button on the Tournament decks page opens it already in that mode.
  2. Build decks A, B and C. The table under the decks shows how many different cards each pair has.
  3. When the three decks are complete and follow the rules, press Publish the 3 decks.
  4. Give the set a name, write the game plan and the role of each deck, and publish.

You need to be signed in. Your tournament decks are in your account, where you can edit, hide or delete them, and on your public profile. Each account can publish as many tournament decks as single decks (5 for community accounts, 20 for Authors, no limit for Creators, Pro players and Staff), counted separately.

The Conquest rules, checked for you

Every set follows the rules of the Crimson Cup, the same ones the deck builder already uses:

  • three different Legendaries, one per deck;
  • at least 8 different unique cards between any two decks: each card counts once, Legendary included, so two decks can share at most 5 cards.

If a set doesn't follow them, the button stays off and the deck builder tells you what's wrong; the site checks again when you publish. Our Conquest guide explains how to build three decks that hold together.

The page of a set

  • The game plan at the top, then the three decks: for each one its role in the set, the full cards, the game code to paste into Origins TCG and "Open in the deck builder".
  • A box with the Conquest rules and the different cards between each pair of decks.
  • Votes from 1 to 5 stars, as for single decks (never on your own set).
  • The guide is written in one language and translated automatically into the other two.
  • When you publish, the set is posted live on our Discord, in #community-decks, and whoever follows you gets a notification if you are a Creator, Author, Pro player or Staff.
  • In your account you see the visits, the copied codes and the clicks of your sets: they are estimates, like the ones for single decks.

For streamers

Every tournament deck has the same tools as single decks, in the "For streamers" menu of its page:

  • a short link, originsmeta.com/d/ followed by the code of the set, to say on stream;
  • the !deck chat command for Nightbot, StreamElements and Fossabot, which writes the set and its three Legendaries in chat;
  • an overlay for OBS with the three decks, vertical or horizontal;
  • an image of the set to download in 16:9 or 9:16.

Command and overlay are shown only to whoever published the set. The streaming guide explains step by step how to add them.
