How he got there
The playoffs on Saturday 24 October were double elimination, best of three: lose once and you drop to the losers bracket, lose twice and you are out. CoachCrono won his first six matches in the winners bracket, one of them against agraveinstream, another OriginsMeta creator, and stopped in the semi-final against SouL, 0-2. From there he did not lose again: 2-1 against eotboltyou to get into the last four, then at the finals 2-0 against OrdinaryHarry, 2-0 against Felixnxx and the grand final won against SouL, who had not lost a match until then.
On the other side, SouL went through the winners bracket unbeaten, with a 2-1 against Felixnxx in the winners final. Felixnxx had beaten OrdinaryHarry 2-1 in the other semi-final. The whole run, match by match, is in our playoff bracket.

The tournament in short
The Crimson Cup was Koin Games' biggest tournament ever, as apix called it: five qualifiers open to everyone between 19 and 22 October (AMER #1, EMEA #1, AMER #2, APAC and EMEA #2), 32 players through from each plus 96 wild cards, a 256-spot playoff on 24 October and the finals on 25 October, all live. The format was Conquest: three decks with at least 8 different unique cards between each pair, a ban phase and decklists hidden until the top 4. Prizes worth $10,000 in total. The rules in detail are in our Crimson Cup rules.
In the four qualifiers with official tables from Koin, Van Helsing was always the most banned Legendary (from 44.4% in AMER #1 to 55.1% in EMEA #2), Three Not So Little Pigs the most brought and Baby Bear the most played card. The finals showed the same meta: Pigs in every line-up, Van Helsing in three, Baby Bear in seven decks out of twelve. All the qualifier numbers are on our Crimson Cup page.
What we don't know yet
- The grand final score: on Tourney Bot it has no result and Koin has not written it; the official post only gives the 9-3 of the day.
- The playoff and finals tables (bans, decks brought, most played cards): Koin published them on the official Discord after the qualifiers, not yet for the playoffs and the finals. When they arrive, they go on our Crimson Cup page.
