Demo 2.0 keeps your Demo 1 deck and boss unlocks

What the staff wrote

"Demo V2 deck will carry over your V1 deck unlock/boss progress": this is the message a member of the Origins staff posted on the official Discord in the evening of 16 September, replying to players who asked whether everyone would have to start over. A screenshot of the message was shared on Reddit the next morning.

Why it mattered

In the playtest every deck is unlocked with three ranked wins plus a win against an AI boss, the path players had called punishing in the feedback of 14 September. Having to repeat it from zero with Demo 2 was the main worry. Until that message, the answer going around in the community was the opposite one.

What was still open

The message spoke of Demo 1 and Demo 2 only. Whether the progress earned in the closed playtest would count as well was not written in any official post, so at the time we kept the two apart.

Update, 21 September

The question is closed. Announcing the first big demo update, the team wrote that whoever played the demo, the playtest or both keeps the progress of whichever is further ahead, "so no one will have to unlock cards again".
