Guide
Strengths
- Strong board presence: A solid mix of early units and powerful midgame threats.
- Flexible removal: Bullseye, Obliterate, and Stroke of Midnight provide answers to dangerous enemies.
- Good tempo: Efficient units help maintain pressure throughout the game.
- Multiple threats: Galahad, Big Bad Wolf, and Guy of Gisborne give opponents several problems to answer.
- Consistent strategy: The deck doesn't rely on assembling one specific combo to win.
Weaknesses
- Limited card generation: Running out of resources can be a problem in longer games.
- Removal dependent: Large enemy threats may force you to spend important spells early.
- Vulnerable to wide boards: Swarm decks can spread pressure faster than you can answer it.
- Positioning matters: Poor placement can reduce the value of your units and removal.
- Expensive finishers: Robin Hood and your stronger units need time to become available.
Mulligan
Priority keeps:
- Rumple — Helps establish early presence.
- Roo — Useful early unit for contesting locations.
- Baby Bear — Solid opening play.
- Bullseye — Keep when you expect early threats.
Against Aggro: Prioritize cheap units and removal to avoid falling behind.
Against Control: Look for a strong early curve and maintain steady pressure.
Avoid: Keeping Robin Hood, Guy of Gisborne, or too many expensive cards in your opening hand.
Key combos and lines
Use Marian's Snipe ability alongside Bullseye to pressure vulnerable enemy units. Great for removing support units before they generate too much value.
2. Robin Hood + Guy of Gisborne
Use Guy of Gisborne to establish a strong midgame board, then follow with Robin Hood to maintain pressure and force difficult trades.
3. Rumple + Early Board Pressure
Play Rumple early and follow with Roo or Baby Bear to contest multiple locations. Focus on building a board that forces your opponent to react.
4. Galahad + Removal
Develop Galahad as a strong board threat, then use Bullseye or Stroke of Midnight to remove enemies that could contest him.
5. Big Bad Wolf + Board Control
Use Big Bad Wolf to create pressure while keeping Obliterate available for dangerous enemy units. This helps maintain your advantage.
6. Robin Hood + Marian
Combine Robin Hood's late-game presence with Marian's Snipe to pressure important enemy targets and improve your combat trades.
Matchups
Vs. Aggro / Swarm — Balanced
Contest locations early with Rumple, Roo, and Baby Bear. Use removal on important threats and avoid falling behind on board presence.
Vs. Midrange — Balanced
Focus on efficient trades and smart positioning. Galahad, Jekyll, and Guy of Gisborne help you compete for board control.
Vs. Control — Challenging
Apply consistent pressure without overcommitting. Save your strongest threats for turns when your opponent has fewer answers.
Vs. Combo — Pressure is Key
Develop units quickly and use removal to disrupt important combo pieces. Force your opponent to react instead of freely setting up.
Vs. Robin Hood Mirror — Tempo Battle
Early positioning, efficient trades, and removal timing are crucial. Try to establish board advantage before Robin Hood enters play.
