French is here
As of 7 October 2026, OriginsMeta is also in French, the fourth language of the site after English, Italian and Spanish. Switch language with EN · IT · ES · FR at the top of every page (on a phone, inside Menu). Every page keeps the same address as in the other languages, with the /fr/ prefix: originsmeta.com/fr/cards, /fr/guides, /fr/deck-builder. If your browser is in French, originsmeta.com takes you straight to the French version, and hreflang and sitemap list the four versions of each page.
What is in French: the interface, the 32 news published so far, the 20 guides, the pages of the 230 cards (card text and origin note), the 44 locations, the FAQ, the events, the balance history (MetaShifting), the deck builder, the tier lists and the community pages. We write standard French, readable in every French-speaking country, and card names stay in English, as in the game.
French had already appeared in the first version of the site, in September 2026, and was withdrawn on 15 September: it comes back rebuilt from scratch, with the same SEO rules as the other languages (one H1 per page, its own title and description, internal links, structured data).
Card texts in French: our translation, for now
In Italian and Spanish, each card page shows the game's official text, read in the game card by card on 25 September. In French we haven't done that yet: the texts of the 230 cards are an OriginsMeta translation, written with a provisional glossary of the keywords (On Reveal becomes "À la révélation", Shield "Bouclier", Trample "Piétinement", Deathtouch "Contact mortel", Defender "Défenseur", First Strike "Initiative"). Every French card page says so, with the line "Traduction d'OriginsMeta" under the text, and those texts are not presented as the game's. The same goes for the 44 locations, which we haven't checked in the game in any language yet.
As soon as we read the cards in the game in French, we'll align every text and every keyword to the official wording, on the card pages, in the guides and in the news, and we'll say so here.
The community in French
What the community publishes is translated into French too, automatically, after publication, as already happens between English, Italian and Spanish: the guides of published decks (single and tournament decks), community guides and the creators' comics. The translations of what is already online arrive over the next few days. Tournaments can be created in French too, and our Discord announces new content with the link to the French page as well.
Why French
Origins TCG is translated into French: the game's Steam page lists French among its 13 languages, interface and audio included. After Spanish, which arrived on 25 September, French is the fourth language of OriginsMeta, for the same reason: being read in the languages the game speaks.
Help us get it right
If you read French and find a mistake, a clumsy sentence or a keyword that doesn't match the game, tell us: with the Feedback button, on every page, or on our Discord. We read everything and fix it in the next update.
